Wednesday we had our trip to Léon. We started the morning off with breakfast and then got on the bus. When we arrived we went to San Marcos it was beautiful. I can't believe it is a hotel now. The campers walked around and answered questions from their Léon scavenger hunt and saw the incredible facade. After that we got back on the bus and went to the animal museum. As always the best part was the room with the fish where the guide educated the students about extinction and let the kids touch various types of fish and scared them a little. He was very funny and all the kids loved it. Then we saw the rest of the rooms with various animals from Spain and the rest of the world. After that the kids went to a park to have lunch. After lunch we did a tour of the city we saw the basilica de San Isidro and case botine ... Then we continued onto the cathedral. My favourite part was the stained glass windows and the choir loft. When we left the cathedral we gave the children free time for 45 minutes around the cathedral and headed back to the bus to return to camp. It was a fantastic day exploring the beauty that is Léon!
