Hello again y'all!
Today was a great day! We went on an excursion to Leon! Considering the fact the Leon is one of my favorite cities in Spain, I'm alway happy to do this excursion.
First, we divided the camp into 2 groups: younger and older. I was with the younger group with Owen, Majida, and Siobhan. First we went to an amazing animal museum. They had all kinds of stuffed animals. They had bears, tigers, birds, bats, sharks... They were all so cool. The kids got to learn about all of the different animals and their habitats. It was very educational. In one section they even got to touch some of the animals!
After the animal museum, we went to plaza Conde Luna to see a museum about the history of Leon. Like many of the kids, I preferred the animal museum, but this one was still pretty interesting. At one point, the kids got to try on some medieval armor and hold a sword!
After having lunch in the park, we all visited the cathedral. I love the cathedral of Leon. It's one of the most beautiful in Spain. They say it has the most stained glass windows of all Spanish Cathedrals.
Finally, after the cathedral, we all go to have free time. The kids got to walk around and buy candy and souvenirs. They bough TONS and TONS of candy.
Well, overall it was a great day, but now I'm pooped! Time to relax!
