Today we went on an excursion to 3 different places. It was about an hours drive from camp so the sleepy heads had a good snooze on the bus.
First we visited the Castle in Valencia de Don Juan, it was an impressive sight with gigantic castle walls and a 3 storey tower which the King would have lived in.
Next we went to a Museum of typical clothing from the area. It was very interesting to see what the people used to wear - especially the black wedding dresses!!
Next we went to what everyone had been waiting for - the Water Park!!
We found a nice shady spot for our picnic lunch and then the kids headed out to explore. There were slides, a wave pool and a giant dragon for the kids to play in. They all also enjoyed the chance to buy some ice creams and snow cones to cool off.
All in all it was an exciting day!!!
