Today we went to Astorga. I think it's about my 10th time there, but it's still an amazing city!
First, the bus stopped in San Justo de la Vega. From there we walked a section of the Camino de Santiago. Someday I will walk the entire thing! It's definitely on my bucket list.
After we arrived in Astorga, I went with Carmen, Khephra, and 2 practicas to the museo romano. It was really interesting. The best part was that inside it was cold - such a great place to escape the sun.
After finishing the museum, we went to a different museum. This time, the museum of CHOCOLATE!!!! The kids always love it. We tried pieces of milk chocolate and dark chocolate. I liked them both, but in the end, I decided to buy white chocolate with almonds. It was amazing.
At 14:00 we all met in the park to eat bocadillos and watermelon in the park. I took a quick nap under a tree. It was super relaxing.
After lunch, we went to the cathedral and palacio. They are both great places, but I think the kids were too tired to really appreciate them.
We finally got to the bus at about 18:00. It was a long ride, but Carmen and I made it fun by singing and messing around on the microphone. I think the bus driver hates us though.
Mark, out.
