Wow, what an amazing day! Full of outdoor activities and fun!
Thursday morning we woke up early and split into different groups after breakfast. My group walked through the forest and fields behind camp to Rancho Canada, just 15 minutes down the road from GMR. We met two lovely horses named Brisa and Bon Bon, owned by Rocio, head of Rancho. All the kids (and some of the teachers!) rode the horses round the corral three or four times. For some people, it was their first time riding; others were old hands.
We also played parachute games and enjoyed some ice creams!
We walked back through the fields and returned to camp for lunch. About mid-afternoon we climbed on a bus to Vega Cervera, where we split up again for three different activities: rock climbing, caving, and archery. It was fantastic. The kids did really well in all the activities, climbing to the very top of the rock face, crawling and squeezing through the cave tunnels, and shooting the arrows with precision. We learned a lot and had a ton of fun!
At night, after dinner, we had Camp Prizes and a disco party. What good dancers we have here!
It's been a lovely week. I hope to come back next year!
