Yesterday was a day where I'm sure many campers tried something they had never done before. We started our activties at Rancho Canada where the kids rode around a horse in a ring. Some of the kids were nervous to get on the horse but with a little words of encouragement they quickly got on and faced their fears. But that wasn't the only activity of the day that got the kids nervous. On our next excurison to Vegacervera we were all taken into a dark cave where we had to sqeeze through small spaces and crawl through even smaller holes. It was scary at times trying to maneuver through the cave, but we all got in and got out successfully even if that meant getting or clothes a bit dirty. After that, the hard part was over, the chrildren enjoyed some archery and rock climbing time. Many of them climbed all the way to the top without any difficulties, I think this might be a natural talent for them.
We returned back to camp by dinnertime and then everyone got dressed in their summer dresses and cute button down shirts to prepare for the Friday night dance! The kids voted for Mr. and Mrs. Camp where some students won awards for Best Student, Comical, Athlete, etc. After announcing the awards we all danced the night away for a great big despidida!
We really had a wonderful time this week!
