Our trip to Astorga was so much fun! It was certainly a long day, but it was definitely worth it! We were able to visit 3 different spots in the city and each one was unique and special.
Our first stop was the chocolate museum. This stop was perhaps our favorite =) We were able to learn about how chocolate is made through a short video. It is actually quite a complaicted process! We also looked at some exhibits about how chocolate coexists within today's society...Fascinating!! But the best part was certainly trying the chocolate at the end of the visit. So tasty!
Our next stop was the Gaudí Palace. Although this is not one of Gaudì's most well known works, it was still quite beautiful. We all decided at the end that we wouldn't mind at all to live in the gourgeous dwelling. After the visit we went to a park to have lunch. We all enjoyed some really tasty cheese sandwiches. Then we played some games together and ran around.
Our last stop was the Roman Museum. This museum was on the small side, but it was packed with some really old artifacts. We especially liked the video in the beginning that explained the history behind everything at the museum. After the visit we headed back to the bus, but not before a quick stop for ice cream! Once on the bus many of us doozed off on the trip back. After such a full day, who could blame us!?
