Sunday
After an exciting afternoon on Sunday where the kids made coulourful name tags, did their level tests and got settled into their cabins, we had dinner and played the 'Kiss the Pig' game to get to know each other. Then it was time for our tired but excited campers to go to bed!
Monday
Monday morning kicked off with ColaCao, toast and sobaos, then it was time for the campers to meet their teachers and fellow students for their first English class.
In English class the campers played some getting to know each other games and interviewed each other to find out their names, likes and dislikes and everything else. AFter English Class it was time for some team games up on the football field, we played sharks and minnows, birdy in a tree and various others. Great fun was had by all.
After games the kids had half an hours free time to work up an appetite for lunch. Lunch was some delicious lentils, then a chicken and potato stew followed by a yogurt - yum! AFter lunch the kids chilled out and played football, badminton, ping pong and all the other games they could think of.
Next was our second English Class, where we started preparing for out English Fair that we are having on Saturday. My class are going to make a 'Pin the tail on the donkey' style game... details to be continued...
After class it was time to go to the Swimming Pool. Swimming time was greatly enjoyed, as were the water baloon fights!!! Once everyone had swam and relaxed there was free time, the kids were given their phones to tell their parents all about their first day and their new friends.
Dinner followed, peas and ham, then salad and calamari with fruit as desert. Finally we had our night time game and the campers were off to bed for a well deserved sleep after a great first day.
