Day two started off well with a dual game between two teams, my class won the game - yay!! Day trip to Astorga!!! Today we had an exciting day trip to a nearby city. We started with walking 3km of the Camino de Santiago - a great acheivement for the kids. Today we journeyed outside of camp into the historical town of Astorga. This town is a famous pit stop for the pilgrims doing the Camino de Santigao. The bus dropped us off 2 kilometers outside of town where we walked a trail on the Camino. Arriving into town, we first visited the Palacio Episcopal, a beautiful building built by Gaudi. My students and I went on a nature walk today! Right behind the camp theres a beautiful trail that leads into the forest. The kids did a scavenger hunt and had to find things like: pine cones, muchrooms, fruits, etc. After class, we took them into the game room where they learned a typical Scottish dance from our Scottish councelor, Morag. The children learned the dance really quickly and had a lot of fun doing it....
